I will make it easy for you – just follow these simple steps:

Please contact me as soon as possible following an accident of any kind. I will hold an appointment for you on an emergency basis. I have worked with many primary care doctors; if you have any questions or need me to speak with them I am happy to do so. I will get you the care you need as soon as possible. If you require a referral, I have several options.

Ask your doctor for a prescription for massage treatments, as this will aid in the healing process and reduce discomfort and pain as soon as possible. Most doctors are happy to write you a prescription for massage therapy. Many first prescriptions are for 1-2 massages per week for 6-8 weeks. They can send me a prescription or give it to you directly.
Simply bring your massage prescription along with the following info:

Claim number
Insurance company name and phone number.

I will handle all the billing and paperwork so you don’t have to.

There are no out of pocket costs to you.

Having staffed Swedish hospital for post-delivery and new mothers and families, TKE is available to you and your loved ones for massage within the first 24 hrs following delivery either in hospital or in home sessions.

As an experienced home birthing mother, the relief and depth of necessary and healthy relaxation that is most advantageous for mother and baby is keenly understood and appreciated. Massage will be beneficial for mother and baby during initial lactation transitions and considerations. Massage will, of course, be tailored to the needs of a newly relieved pregnant body, and any concerns following C-section delivery will be discussed and considered during treatment.

Most insurance companies will be willing to cover costs of these sessions. TKE will be happy to supply you with a Superbill which aids reimbursement, and in hospital sessions may be handled through normal billing practices*.

*Pre-session verification may be necessary to accommodate this benefit. Check with your nursing staff and feel free to have them give me a call. 301.802.4010c.
